Mount Kimbie - Made To Stray Tougher yet more tender: the masters of tension and release are back.
It’s been a minute but masters of tension and release Mount Kimbie are back with the first taste of their new album on new home Warp. Made To Stray was showcased on Ben UFO’s Rinse FM show late last night and the Dummy office is already in love. Those first few seconds are a double-take – thrillingly tougher and denser than they’ve gone before – but then that plaintive melody starts peeking through, that bass cloud breaks, and the track flowers into full-blown song with Dom on vocals. Damn, it’s good to have them back.
Mount Kimbie will perform at Boiler Room’s SXSW extravaganza next week (details)
