Darkstar - A Day's Pay for a Day's Work Yours Truly present this up-close performance of a brand new track from the Warp trio.
Darkstar had some time away in Yorkshire to write and record their latest album, ‘News From Nowhere’. “It’s all kind of backwards,” James Buttery says of the new album in this lovely clip from Yours Truly, explaining that the group spent a lot of time working out how to feed the closeness and complexities of the record back into a live performance. It’s evident that this slightly askew approach worked, though, as their deeply personable, almost claustrophobic intimacy comes across in waves in this off-the-cuff performance of new track A Day’s Pay For A Day’s Work.
